Shopify stores
Run DNA in front of a Shopify storefront.
Nameservers are the way to add DNA to a Shopify store, since Shopify doesn't run your code. DNA runs in front of the storefront, and Shopify keeps serving checkout directly.
Connect a store
Connect the domain as usual. When the scan finds a Shopify store, the connect review says so, and an owner or admin confirms the store before the nameservers appear.
DNA keeps Shopify's records pointed at Shopify, and Shopify renews the store's certificate as it does today.
Domains bought through Shopify
A domain bought through Shopify uses Shopify's nameservers and can't change them. Transfer it to another registrar first, then connect it.
Leave
Disconnect as usual. At step 2, where the nameservers go back depends on the domain:
| Domain | Nameservers | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Bought from Shopify | Shopify's | Nothing more |
| Bought elsewhere, connected to Shopify | The ones the domain had before DNA | Add Shopify's records at that DNS host: A for the root to 23.227.38.65, CNAME for www to shops.myshopify.com |
